Reality star Amy Slaton Halterman has pleaded guilty to drug charges stemming from her September arrest at a Tennessee zoo.
The 1000-Lb. Sister star, 37, who is mom to sons Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2, with her ex-husband Michael Halterman, pleaded guilty in court on Thursday, Dec. 19 to one count of simple possession of marijuana and one count of simple possession of mushrooms, according to reports from E! News, Us Weekly, WREG-TV and WMC-TV.
As part of the plea deal, Slaton’s two other child endangerment charges, which she had initially also been charged with during her arrest, were dismissed. Brian Scott Lovvorn, whom she was arrested with, also pleaded guilty to the same charges.
Crockett County District Attorney General Frederick Agee confirmed to WREG-TV that Slaton and Lovvorn had reached a plea deal, which included them paying a $1,000 fine and completing a drug and alcohol assessment and state-certified parenting class. The pair have also been banned from Tennessee Safari Park, where they were arrested.
Agee said in a statement to WREG-TV: “This is the Season of Giving and we understand that Amy Halterman and Brian Lovvorn are the pride and joy of the State of Kentucky and they will now be back in Kentucky for the Holidays.”
Agee’s office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department previously released details from the pair’s arrest to PEOPLE. The department said it responded to calls of a guest reportedly being bitten by a camel at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo. When officers arrived on the scene, they reported being “immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.”
Stephen Sutton, a spokesperson with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department, told PEOPLE that officers allegedly discovered “what they believed to be mushrooms” and “what they believed to be marijuana” inside Slaton’s vehicle. Sutton also claimed that after officers smelled marijuana coming from the car, they saw drugs out “in plain sight” and searched the vehicle.
Amy received onsite medical attention before she and Lovvorn were arrested and booked into the Crockett County Jail.
Following the incident, the TLC star’s two kids were picked up by her sister Tammy Slaton. Halterman previously filed for divorce from Amy in March 2023. Amy showed her finalized divorce papers on a February 2024 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters.
Their two children were placed in a family member’s custody following their mother’s arrest, PEOPLE reported, and the Tennessee Department of Child Services said it would investigate their parenting situation.
