LAS VEGAS, NV — A man was reportedly stabbed at the SHOT Show on the evening of January 22, and quick-thinking bystanders used an everyday carry (EDC) tourniquet to help stabilize him until emergency personnel arrived.
The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m. near the Starbucks located inside the Venetian Expo Center, where the industry-only firearms trade show is being held. According to a firsthand account posted on Reddit, a commotion broke out just outside the coffee shop, drawing the attention of several individuals, including a group from Novox Research—some of whom are trained paramedics.
I was a witness to the aftermath. It happened quickly, I was eating next door and had ducked out into the commons to use the bathroom. In the time that took, this all went down, and I had to walk past the scene to get back to dinner. There were cops and security everywhere, and paramedics were already attending to the victim.
My dood, he’d already saturated the shirt he’d wrapped around the arm, and the image doesn’t show the trail of blood around him/smears on the map kiosk.
I wasn’t gonna throw a pressure bandage on homie and see if it worked, risking further hemorrhage on a drunk dude. TQ & done
