The products reveals just keep on coming. Last week, just ahead of SHOT, Spyderco let the first 2025 Product Reveal drop. The headliner is a new Sal Glesser design inspired by high-end sports cars, but there’s plenty more in store as well.

Edgerati

There’s not a few knives that have taken design cues from legendary sports cars – something about that rarified area of engineering speaks to the great knife makers, and the Edgerati is Sal Glesser’s tribute to the bird-cage frame of the Maserati Tipo 61. Like that frame, the Edgerati’s handle is heavily skeletonized, such that many of the internal parts – including the base of the 3.47-inch blade and the arm of the Compression Lock – can be seen.

Slym

There are two new collaboration pieces made in conjunction with Maniago, Italy’s LionSteel, a longtime manufacturing partner for Spyderco. The Slym is first up. Designed by Michele Pensato, this one is a mid-sized gent’s folder with a 3.4-inch blade. Made from M390 steel, rendered in an elegant drop point, it also features the raised Round Hole that other LionSteel collabs like the Opera had.

Essenza

A smaller, sparer companion piece to the Slym, the Riccardo Gobbato-designed Essenza is pared down liner lock utility knife, beautiful in its simplicity. Blade shape is similar (as is the raised Round Hole), but the Essenza is a tad more compact at 3.1 inches, and made from N690 steel instead of M390.

New Salt Models

The Salt line has been absolutely thriving in recent years, and in 2025 we’ll be seeing three new additions to the rustproof series. The Para 3 is looking positively apian in its yellow and black Salt trim, while the Military 2 and Manix 2 are looking somber and work ready in blacked out configurations.

Speaking of nautical knives, a legendary seafaring Spydie is returning this year with a few notable tweaks. The stainless steel Harpy is back, in a plain edge configuration, and with a handle held together by screws rather than rivets, making maintenance more than ever.

Sage 6

The Sage series too is growing this year. Each model in this line features a different locking mechanism, and no. 6 flaunts the button-operated Compression Lock. The specifications of this stone cold EDC classic remain the same, as does the blade steel: S30V.

PITS 2

Longtime Spyderco fans will recognize the return of a cult classic. The PITS 2 is the renovated, updated version of a quirky slipjoint design from British knife maker Mike Read. It uses two different backsprings to stay open and closed, which are integrated directly into the titanium handle. The PITS 2’s 2.74-inch blade is made from M398 steel.

New SPY27 Knives

Finally, Spyderco rolled out four classic daily carry pieces in their proprietary steel: the Dragonfly 2, Delica 4, Endura 4, and Manbug keychain knife join the growing SPY27 ranks within the Spyderco lineup.
