We Knife Co. is preparing to welcome yet another new collaborator this year with the soon-to-be-released Inmate model from Jerad Neeve. The Inmate unites large dimensions to a very low-key profile for an arresting take on the big EDC knife.
3.7 inches of cutting edge doesn’t make the Inmate the biggest folder we’ve ever seen, but certainly qualifies it as a large one. The spear point blade blends a robust, rough-and-tumble geometry with a classical edge profile for a tool that is intuitive, versatile, and tough. Neeve designed this one with both a front flipper and an opening oval – two opening methods that are both lefty- and fidget-friendly.
Among the sea of cookie cutter imports, this one stands out a little. At least to my eye. And Jerad Neeve has a pretty substantial following.
I like when KnifeNews is able to throw in some puns and other wordplay. Article ends with “You can expect the Inmate to escape in a week or two.”
