Hey All,
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas season, and hope that the coming new year brings Blessings and Happiness to you and yours.
The holidays have me a little behind the 8 ball, as it is now Press Week for the February issue, and I forgot to get this out in time to title it “Sneak Peek”. My copy came in the mail yesterday. So if you are a print subscriber, your issue should arrive this week if it has not yet already.
For this month’s cover article, Chris Tighe profiles ABS Mastersmith Michael Vagnino. Willson Offutt reviews the Microtech Ultratech, which is quite a departure from his typical knife of choice. Dennis Ellingsen gives an in-depth history of the ubiquitous “Leg Knife”. Ron Flook dives deep into Fairbairn paperwork, and Doug Growitz tells the story of dual-open pocket knives.

All of our regular columns are back, with AKTI’s Anthony Sculimbrene explaining the intricacies of Hawaiian switchblade law, Bruce Voyles talks exhibiting collections at knife Shows, and his Bruce on the Loose column chronicles the changing face of knife collecting. Knife Rights, ABS, and of course monthly favorite Artistry in Knives is a banger as always.
The digital version of the issue should also be unlocked shortly for our Premium Online Members.
