Buck Knives is undoubtedly best known for its more traditional folding knives, like the lauded Buck 110 Folding Hunter. But that doesn’t mean the brand can’t dabble in modernity.
One of the brand’s latest launches, the Buck Knives Stinger, is here to prove it. Instead of relying on tradition, this affordable flipper is steeped in contemporary styling and mechanisms.
It is one of the few imports in Buck’s lineup. I am loathe to criticize, since the boost to the bottom line underwrites some of the costs incurred by the US production of the bulk of Buck’s lineup. If they need to release a few of these to meet consumer demand and keep the bulk of what they do here at home, I understand that the knife market is multifaceted.
I will be headed out to Post Falls, Idaho in June for another press junket. I am looking forward to it.
