Hey everyone. It has been a week since Blade Show, but pieces continue to filter out across the blogosphere and YouTube.
Every year I write a “Haul” post, sharing the knives, gear, and show swag I picked up at the show.
The fact that I wasn’t really there means that this one is a little smaller than average, but I think that it is a solid assemblage of kit.
Joe Flowers gave my daughter a Condor machete, but I have already written about that.

I bought one knife with my own money- an Easy-Open Wharncliffe slipjoint, which I cannot find on the Rosecraft website. The fit and finish is exquisite. I love the blue micarta, and I have several vintage Easy-Open knives.
I was given a Talon neck knife from MT Knives. Patrick Roehrman is a nice guy and a really great maker. I enjoyed speaking with him in the Pit and will put the Talon through its paces. He just filled out a 5 from the Grinder, which I will share next week.
Kyle Daily gave me this lovely keyring bottle opener. Kyle is a great friend, the subject of my first cover article (October 2024), and a filework Master.
His podcast partner Dogwood Dan Eastland also gave me a set of super-robust tweezers for the kitchen. He gave me the next size down a while back, but these are large enough to flip a chicken breast. Dan had a knife stolen, so keep an eye out.

Finally, morale patches are my favorite piece of swag. The roof liner of my tacoma is covered with them. But none are going to get me in the feels like this one…
RIP Mike Crenshaw.
