Jim Cobb is the Editor of Backwwods Survival Guide, and has written for scores of publications throughout the outdoor sphere. He has even written an article for KNIFE Magazine, and I believe he has another in the queue.
I met Jim for the first time on a press junket to Buck Knives, and we have remained friends since. I wrote a piece for Backwoods last year, and I reviewed the Prepper’s Long Term Survival Guide a couple of years ago.
Book Review: Prepper’s Long-Term Survival Guide 2nd Edition
His latest book, Countdown to Preparedness just came out, and he sent me a copy for review. It is actually the Second Edition, the first having come out in 2014. I have spent about 30 minutes perusing it so far, and plan on implementing many of the suggestions as I get deeper into it.
THe book itself is a 52-week course on how to begin a prepping program. By breaking it down into manageable chunks, Jim takes some of the intimidation factor out of prepping. There are lots of lists, which help both with organization, but also give the fledgling prepper a sense of accomplishment.
I look forward to digging deeper into its pages.
