We hear you (pun intended)! This year, we are reporting manufacturer’s sound-reduction rating where available. Now, not every manufacturer makes that information publicly available, so you’ll see a fair number of “N/As” where no decibel-reduction numbers were provided, but rest assured that, despite what you might think, the noise-reduction rating is one of the least important factors when choosing a new suppressor (more on that in a future article). All of these cans reduce firearm report significantly enough that your hearing will be protected when you use them in conjunction with ear pro.

It’s never been easier to buy a suppressor, thanks to NRA’s ongoing efforts to remove them from the NFA and the elimination of the $200 NFA tax starting on January 1, 2026. In the interim, many manufacturers and/or retailers are offering to pay the tax for you over the next few months while it still exists. So, pick one of these new cans and enjoy the polite and safer way to shoot from now on.

Banish | 9
The quietest 9 mm suppressor on the market according to the manufacturer, the Banish 9 utilizes the company’s Micro Booster to ensure smooth, flawless operation with semi-automatic handguns while keeping weight to a minimum. Material: Aluminum tube, titanium baffles
Length: 6.8 inches (7.2 inches with mount)

Thanks to its incredibly light weight, this handgun suppressor requires no piston to ensure reliable operation with a semi-automatic pistol. Manufactured via 3D-printed titanium, its small size hides its impressive sound reduction. The Banish 9K is so tiny, it is a realistic option for concealed carry when combined with an appropriately small pistol.

Material: 3D-printed titanium
Length: 4.1 inches
Diameter: 1.3 inches

With Huxwrx’s patented Flow-Through technology, this suppressor reduces blowback and toxic gas exposure, enhancing health and safety. It boasts full-auto capability, no barrel restrictions and a rugged C-Series Cerakote finish.
