Following last year’s launch of the Ruger RXM, the collaborative effort that resulted in Ruger partnering up with Magpul to produce a polymer-frame, striker-fired 9 mm handgun based on the third-generation Glock G19 pistol, Magpul has now launched a full-size grip module to fit this pistol.

Magpul’s original contribution to the RXM project was its EGH, the Magpul Enhanced Handgun Grip module. The original version is similar in dimension to the original Glock G19 frame size, but Magpul recently announced that it began shipping and distribution for the full size, G17-size equivalent grip module compatible with the RXM chassis.

Thanks to the RXM’s trigger pack/chassis-based construction, anyone who already owns a Ruger RXM pistol can simply buy the Magpul’s new full-size module and turn their standard Ruger RXM into a G45-style configuration.

Like the original Magpul EHG, the full-size EHG packs many of the same valuable features. It includes a ¾-scale Magpul Trapezoidal Surface Projection texture on the front strap, back strap, side panels and forward index pads. This module also has an undercut trigger guard. Its magazine well is flared for faster and easier magazine changes and the magazine release scallop provides a recessed, easily accessed space for the magazine release. Keeping tactical accessories in mind, the new EGH also features a universal rail for mounting lights and lasers to further enhance the pistol’s capabilities. All EGH RG9 grips are made from Magpul’s strong, rigid, injection-molded polymer for which the company is known.

Aside from Magpul’s rich details and innovations found on its EGH grip modules, these units are backwards compatible with a wide variety of Gen3 Glock accessories. Furthermore, Magpul is still developing a sub-compact (G26 size) EGH module that it has yet to launch.
