First Look: BlackPoint Tactical Duty Series Holsters

BlackPoint Tactical, a High Speed Gear Inc. brand, has recently launched its new Duty Series product family consisting of two models, the Enhanced Tactical Duty Holster and the Slick Duty Holster.

Black Point Tactical’s Enhanced and Slick duty holsters are available in light-bearing models. The difference between the two is that the Enhanced model offers three levels of retention while the Slick offers two levels.

Both holsters build off a design principle that Black Point Tactical refers to as the “Master Grip System.” It simply refers to holster design that allows the wearer to keep a master firing grip over their handgun while also being able to use the same hand to move or switch the duty holster’s active and passive retention devices. This is in comparison to other holster designs whose retention devices require different hand motions or contortions in order to reach their respective retention controls. The Master Grip System isn’t only germane to Black Point Tactical’s new duty holsters; it also applies the principle to its Taser holsters as well.

“The design team thoughtfully executed every detail of this holster based on feedback from real-world operators,” said Gary Robbins, Director of Law Enforcement Business Development at High Speed Gear. “This is the next evolution in professional duty gear and stay tuned, because there is more to come”.
