The New SIGHTRON SV 8×42 ED Binoculars offer a wide field exceeding 70° of apparent field of view. To achieve this,SIGHTRON utilizes a field flattener to ensure excellent image quality from center to edge. Phase-correction coating on the prism delivers a bright, high-contrast field of view. Special low-dispersion (ED) objective lenses provide crisp, clear, extremely sharp high-resolution images free from chromatic aberrationand distortion at high power settings.
SIGHTRON SV binocular’s lenses are fully multi-layer coatedon all lens surfaces ensuring high light transmission and accurate color reproduction. They are nitrogen filled to prevent internal fogging. The SV’s housing features a lightweight yet robust magnesium die-cast construction. Its well-balanced design minimizes the perceived weight. An elastomer exterior provides easy handling and a secure grip, even in the most extreme conditions. The center focus system features a large metal focus ring to enable quick and precise focusing adjustments, even with gloves on. The SV’s long eye relief design allows a wide field of view, even when wearing glasses. Twist-up rubber eyecups provide a comfortable fit against the eye. Fully waterproof construction ensures reliability during rain or near water.
