Finding these premium hiking pants on sale is a great opportunity to upgrade your hiking kit. These hot-weather pants are made from a recycled polyamide/elastance stretch fabric on the back and the brand’s G-1000 light stretch in front. That fabric can be waxed for added water-shedding performance.
These pants are super-comfortable, with enough elastic in the waistband to create a snug but never too-tight fit. There are two hand pockets (Fjällräven doesn’t do back pockets for hiking) and two front leg pockets (not side cargo pockets). And perhaps the best feature is the large thigh vents to really get the airflow going.

Experienced backpackers will accept this scaled-down version, which ditches some of the original’s convenience, like full-zip access to the main compartment (it still has a smaller side zip, though). Weight-wise, this heavy-haul backpack lands somewhere in the middle of similarly sized packs, which is probably a testament to its comfortable and durable construction.
