RD USA Adds to BAD (Blast Attenuation Device) Line-up for the M2A1 CSW
Answering the call industry from the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness to attenuate blast effects on operators, this new Blast Attenuation Device from RD USA reduces blast overpressure by 90% while remaining compact (considering the size of the M2). What’s more, it’s reliable on the M2A1, a weapon difficult to suppress.
Compatible with M2A1 and FN M2 QCB, the RD BAD-M2 Direct Thread is a next-generation Blast Attenuation Device (BAD) solution.
Not to be confused with the RD M2FVS, this lightweight design is for extreme operational environments, this suppressor delivers advanced signature reduction, enhanced system performance, and full-auto durability, without requiring any permanent modification to the host weapon.
Utilizing RD’s proprietary Breathable Technology, the BAD significantly reduces toxic gas exposure, mitigates back pressure, and promotes stable cyclic operation during prolonged engagements.
Constructed from a monolithic, corrosion-resistant body, the BAD-M2 incorporates an integrated flash hider to drastically reduce visual signature and ground disturbance.
Additionally, the BAD-M2 Direct Thread is fully resistant to salt air, dust, and debris, and is finished in RD’s proprietary infrared-suppressive, non-reflective coating for improved camouflage across the IR spectrum.
