Ramsey Cascades Trail
Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Tennessee
At 105 feet, Ramsey Cascades is the tallest waterfall in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. See it for yourself when you hike the recently improved Ramsey Cascades Trail. This challenging trail follows an old logging road for the first 1.5 miles before it funnels into a more traditional trail that winds through the hardwood forest. About 3 miles in, expect steep, rocky conditions near the cascades.

Kanaka Peak Trail
Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, California
When the Carr Fire burned through Whiskeytown National Recreation Area in 2018, nearly 97% of the land was impacted by fire damage. Many trails in the area, including the 8.5-mile Kanaka Peak Trail, were closed due to hazardous conditions. Thanks to a massive trail restoration project, hikers can now access the trail and the stunning views from the summit. Be prepared for some downed trees and multiple creek crossings.

Superior Hiking Trail: Bean and Bear Lake Loop
Superior National Forest, Minnesota
Hike through lush forests to a pair of mountain lakes on the Superior Hiking Trail: Bean and Bear Lake Loop. The 6.6-mile trail is part of the larger Superior Hiking Trail, which traverses 310 miles along the lake’s western shore.
Well-maintained but still rugged, the trail ascends and dips through varied terrain en route to the lakes. Enjoy views of the surrounding forest once you reach the lake before looping around back to the trailhead. In the winter, this trail is accessible to snowshoers.

Features on this trail and throughout the Driving Range network accommodate adaptive and traditional mountain bikes.
