Alterra Mountain Company has added yet another ski resort to its lineup of Ikon Pass mountains. For the 2025/26 ski season, Ikon Pass holders will have access to Le Massif de Charlevoix, in Québec, Canada. The resort offers over 400 acres of terrain, 52 trails and glades, an annual average of 254 inches of snow, and sweeping views of the St. Lawrence River.

“Le Massif de Charlevoix is thrilled to welcome Ikon Pass holders to explore Eastern Québec,” Charles-Antoine Choquette, executive vice president and general manager of Groupe Le Massif, said. “We look forward to sharing our mountain’s magic with the Ikon Pass community.”

Earlier this year, Ikon announced that it was adding Ischgl, a resort that straddles Austria and Switzerland. With this latest addition, the Ikon Pass now offers access to 62 ski destinations across Canada, the U.S., Chile, Andora, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, and Japan.

Ikon Pass holders will have 7 days at Le Massif De Charlevoix, and Ikon Base Pass holders will have 5 days. Currently, the Ikon Pass is $1,329 ($1,229 if you’re renewing), and the Ikon Base Pass is $909 ($859 if you’re renewing).

On April 17, the early bird promos will end, and prices will start to go up.

Le Massif de Charlevoix: Ski Québec With Ikon

Le Massif (as it’s locally shortened) is nestled between the Laurentian Mountains and the St. Lawrence River. It’s about an hour and 15 minutes drive north of Québec City and boasts of having the “highest vertical drop east of the Rockies.”

The website also states that over 70% of the mountain is kept groomed. According to Ikon, La Petite-Rivière is the mountain’s most iconic run, featuring a long descent and views of the water.

The La Petite-Rivière village area at the base offers fine dining venues, like Club Med, and the resort itself also has its own “gastrique experiences.” There is the Cafeteria at the Summit Chalet, the Camp Boule restaurant, and Pub Le Grand Duc — all located at the mountain’s summit.

Visitors traveling to Le Massif can stay in any of the on-mountain chalets, refuges, apartments, or summit studios. More plentiful (and affordable) accommodation is also available in Québec City, Beaupré, or other towns along the route.

Ikon Pass Prices Go Up Soon

As always, the cheapest time to get your Ikon Pass is now. On April 17, prices will start to go up. If you decide to upgrade from an Ikon Base Pass to an Ikon Pass, you’ll have the chance to ski 7 days earlier at up to 17 mountains before the 2024/25 season ends. Check here for the full list of spring skiing access for Ikon and Ikon Base Pass holders.

Purchasing the full Ikon Pass for the 2025/26 season opens up unlimited access to 18 resorts and up to 7 days at 42 others around the world. For the Ikon Base, that’s unlimited access to 14 resorts and up to 5 days at 40 destinations.

Pass prices will continue to rise multiple times over the summer. The current pass prices are the most cost-effective of the year. If you plan to ski Ikon Mountains next season, like Le Massif, lock in sooner rather than later to save.
