More on the Prize Package
The Segway Xafari Electric Bike has a sleek, step-through frame and plenty of power to haul a grocery load on its rear rack.
And since this is a Segway e-bike, you’ll note the performance and tech extras. For instance, the AirLock feature lets you lock your bike by putting down the kickstand and walking away.
The bike also boasts a 936Wh UL-certified battery with a range of 88 miles on a single charge. Similarly, the Xafari’s Intelligent Ride System can detect ambient light and automatically adjust the bike’s lights accordingly.
For power, there’s the 750W motor with 80Nm torque. That’s enough oomph to tackle big hills on those long rides, and its adaptive power boost uses internal sensors (and a gyroscope) to detect when you need a little extra push.
The wide, rugged tires and dual suspension — 80mm up front and 70mm in the rear — smooth out the bumps in the road, even at its top speed of 28 mph. Additionally, hydraulic brakes help you brake before turns and stop with confidence.
Another convenience factor is the Segway-Ninebot app, which pairs with the bike to work as a control center, route-planner, bike-finder, security system, and health monitor all in one.
The Xafari is no slouch as a utilitarian bike, with a rear rack boasting a 55-pound capacity. The e-bike’s battery powers its built-in lights, so you never have to worry about one more device to charge. Lastly, Xafari’s friendly step-through frame and adjustable seat, stem, and display can fit riders from 5’1″ up to 6’2″.
