For international travel and outdoor adventures, Cotopaxi’s gear remains extremely popular. These days, it seems impossible to visit an airport or hiking trail without seeing somebody sporting the Salt Lake City brand’s conspicuous patchwork of bright colors, usually as a pack or jacket.

It’s rare, however, for the brand to dip its paws into the world of pet gear. So as the brand debuts a limited-edition run of pet gear today, I wouldn’t be surprised if the collection sells out faster than a greyhound with a rabbit in its sights.

The Del Dia Pet Collection, which includes dog leashes, beds, and collars, is now on sale.

Cotopaxi Del Dia Pet Collection

Cotopaxi begins its latest foray into pet products with three items: a bed, collar, and leash. The Del Dia Dog Bed ($90) is large enough for most breeds, and it’s machine washable, making it easy to clean after a weekend in the woods. As for the Del Dia Dog Collar ($10), it includes reflective details for safety and is available in three adjustable sizes.

If you’ve got a pup who likes to pull, Cotopaxi’s Del Dia Dog Leash ($20) is up to the task, with a sturdy handle and a secondary handle for when you need to keep your dog close by. It also ties around the waist for hands-free dog walking.

A Focus on Sustainability

These new products are part of Cotopaxi’s continued effort toward sustainability. Like the rest of its Del Dia products, they’re made with deadstock fabric to reduce waste. The dog bed, for example, uses foam leftover from backpack straps for a bed that’s plush for Fido and kind to the planet.

Also, it’s not surprising that Cotopaxi is entering the dog market: the value of the pet accessory market totaled $23.4 billion in the U.S. in 2024.

Market trends indicate that pet owners are increasingly prioritizing sustainability when making purchases. So Cotopaxi likely sees its environmentally friendly ethos as a good fit for this growing market.
