They say the snow is always deeper on the other side, and there’s always a bigger, steeper, gnarlier line. Matchstick Productions’ new film, After The Snowfall, puts that to the test. Based on the trailer alone, it’s clear the filmmakers found the deepest, steepest, and most intense lines they could access. It looks like they made it to the proverbial “other side.”
Featuring some of the biggest names in professional skiing, like Michelle Parker, Mark Abma, Nikolai Schirmer, Nico Porteous, Caite Zeliff, and many others, this is truly a star-studded lineup. The stoke is clearly high among the skiers, and the runs they’re dropping into look like the stuff of dreams.
Still, even with so many big names attached to the film, Matchstick assures, “this is not just a story about pros.” Instead, After the Snowfall is a movie about the weekend warriors, ski bums, storm chasers, shred addicts, and ski town locals. It’s about the passionate people who give ski culture so much life and color.
