One person has been confirmed dead after a gondola cabin detached from its cable and crashed down a mountainside at a ski resort in Switzerland. The incident, which occurred at the Engelberg–Titlis Ski Resort, was captured on video showing the lone tram car tumbling violently down a snowy mountainside. Details about the accident remain thin. When I approached the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park last spring, my heart sank. The line of cars was so long that I couldn’t see the entry gate.
