Bill Moran and Bob Loveless are the most influential knifemakers in the modern era. They were two key figures in the rise of custom knifemaking, which began in 1970 with the formation of the Knifemakers Guild. Both predated the Guild and had fully formed philosophies on knifemaking before its formation. There are an impressive number of dichotomies between Loveless and Moran. For two men who were influential in a similar time period for making the same product – knives – they had surprisingly different philosophies. Both men served as president of the Knifemakers Guild in the early years: Moran from…

I’m not a tactical gun bro. I think tactical gear is over-the-top, and doesn’t fit my style despite having spent over 7 years in the Army. I’m more of the old school, classic look type of guy. Most van build guides assume you can build cabinetry and wire 12V systems. They assume van interiors are square. They’re not. Those curved walls and angled ribs make cabinet building exponentially harder. They think you have more than hand tools — or will buy them. Where do those go? I’m not a carpenter or electrician. But I’ve stumbled my way through several builds to know where DIYers waste money and time. This is the parts roadmap I wish I’d had. The Bones: Lost Hiway Transit Builder Foundation Kit The industry sells you on pretty interiors first — wrong order. Start…

Handover to the Italian Army at the Sabaudia base has been completed The Italian Army has received its first Skynex air defence system from Rheinmetall. On 18 December 2025, the first Skynex battery was handed over to the Italian Army at the Comando Artiglieria Controaeri (Air Defence Artillery Command) in Sabaudia. This gives the Italian Army the capability to defend against air attacks at close and very close range. In particular, it will enable effective countermeasures against drones, which – as seen in the war in Ukraine – are playing an increasingly important role in current and future conflicts and…

I tested the Onefold to find out. In short: Onefold is a surprising iteration on a tried-and-true…
