Eldridge, IA-based LMT Defense, working in partnership with SWISSLOXX AG, secured a significant contract with Swiss armed forces in late February. Under terms of the agreement the companies will supply rifles for the military. The ordered rifles are primarily chambered in 5.56 NATO, although other calibers are included in the contract. It’s no secret that there are a lot of EDC knife releases every year. Even some of the most cautious, deliberate knifemaking brands typically release at least a few different knives (if not entirely new silhouettes) annually. However, one particular category has a much slower, rarer cadence. Collaboration EDC knives — where at least two brands work together on a single design — are difficult to coordinate and require compromises. As such, they are released far less often.
