Authorities in Florida are charging a 14-year-old with manslaughter in connection with the beating death of her grandmother in May.  Yevheniia Koval, 79, was found unresponsive with “multiple bruises” on her body in a Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., home early in the morning of May 23, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office announced at the time.  Police arrested Koval’s 14-year-old granddaughter as a suspect in connection with the woman’s death, which was ruled a homicide, the sheriff’s office said.  The teenager is now being charged as an adult on a manslaughter charge, according to Broward County authorities, who identified her as Sofia…

The body of a missing Missouri mother of four who mysteriously vanished six months ago has now been identified after being found in a wooded area on Saturday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say that the identity of 33-year-old Emily Strite was confirmed through medical and dental records after her skeleton remains were found in the De Soto area by a Frissell Road property owner.
