MAGA candidate vying to flip Virginia Senate seat red stands firm on controversial military comments
Republican candidate Hung Cao, running for the Virginia Senate seat currently held by Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine, is confident he can turn Virginia red from purple. He’s also doubling down on his controversial comments made during last week’s debate about U.S. military personnel “who are going to rip out their own guts, eat them and ask for seconds” in a bid against progressive social training in the military.Cao, a 25-year Navy veteran endorsed by former President Trump, told Fox News Digital in an interview, “It’s about warriors that are just going to do anything to win, and those are the people…
The judge presiding over the Scott Peterson case greenlit a discovery process for the convicted murderer on Monday, two decades after he was found guilty of killing his pregnant wife. The newest court filing represents a win for Peterson, who was convicted of murdering Laci Peterson in 2002. He has been assisted by the Los Angeles Innocence Project since January of this year. In the document, which was obtained by Fox News on Monday, Judge Elizabeth Hill of the San Mateo County Superior Court approved Peterson’s request for a post-conviction discovery period. Hill rejected a number of his team’s requests for specific…
Secretary of State Antony Blinken vowed Monday that the U.S. “will continue to work tirelessly” to bring home the four American hostages who have now been held by Hamas for more than a year inside the Gaza Strip. The four that remain — Keith Siegel, 65, Sagui Dekel-Chen, 36, Omer Neutra, 22, and Edan Alexander, 21 — were abducted by the Palestinian terrorist group exactly one year ago Monday on Oct. 7, 2023. The abductions took place alongside the murder of approximately 1,200 Israelis.”Hamas also took 254 people hostage that day, including 12 Americans. Four of those Americans – Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Itay…
The U.S. Supreme Court will begin hearing oral arguments in the case involving so-called “ghost guns” on Tuesday. The case, Garland v. VanDerStok, challenges the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) 2022 Final Rule that redefined important legal terms dealing with guns, including “firearm,” “receiver” and “frame,” making the longstanding American tradition of building personal firearms pretty much a thing of the past. Back in April, the Supreme Court voted 4-3 to consider the challenge. At issue is whether the DOJ and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) overstepped their bounds in promulgating the Final Rule. Plaintiffs in the case…

Ammo prices are down from the shortage prices a few years ago. That doesn’t mean that they’re cheap, but some ammo is definitely more affordable than others. 9mm is about as cheap as you can get in centerfire ammunition, and it might make you wish you’d picked up a 9mm AR. If you have a rifle caliber AR-15 and want to drop a 9mm upper on it, you can always get a mag well adapter that uses pistol mags or Colt SMG mags. The adapters run anywhere from around $70 to a couple hundred bucks and then you still need…
Courtesy Jeff Hulbert The United States Supreme Court begins its new term today and plans to hear a wide ranging number of cases dealing with eveything from guns to online porn. While no doubt a number of you are definitely into online porn, it is the gun cases TTAG will focus on today. Among the first issues to be heard is a challenge to the Biden administration’s regulation of “ghost guns” — firearms that can be assembled from parts sold online and are often untraceable due to the absence of serial numbers. On October 8, the court will hear Garland…
Dan Z. for TTAG Using what seems to be faulty reasoning concerning the “common use” of AR-style rifles for self-defense purposes, a district court in Washington State has denied a request for a preliminary injunction against the state’s so-called “assault weapons” ban. On September 26, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington in the case Banta v. Ferguson denied the request for an injunction because, the ruling said, AR-15s are not weapons that are commonly owned for self-defense and well-tailored for that purpose. Instead, the court ruled that common semi-automatic rifles owned by millions of lawful Americans for…
