The Reveal is another new flipper EDC on the way from your friends at Civivi. The Reveal delivers the usual rock-solid specs, and is a platform for Civivi to play with new material configurations in its lineup.
Putting the material embellishments to one side, the Reveal is almost a platonic blueprint for the modern everyday carry folder. The drop point blade is intuitive and flexible, powering through the quotidian cutting jobs without needing any special considerations. 3.37 inches of blade puts it right in the pocket for 2026 EDC length, and the 14C28N stainless steel, cemented in the Civivi lineup as a go-to recipe, holds an edge with grace and isn’t a drama queen when it comes time to lay it on the sharpening stones either.

Equally unfussy and pragmatic is the Reveal’s handle. It has one deep finger groove beneath the guard, and the tapered back end has a small beak/hook to provide a little indexing for the back part of the user’s hand. The button lock, current apple of Civivi’s eye when it comes to blade safety mechanisms, is on hand here – or rather, on handle, if you will, disengaging the blade for closure when depressed. Another recurring Civivi cast member, the good ol’ reversible, deep carry, loop over pocket clip, is here as well, keeping the 3.16 oz. knife secure in between cutting tasks.
A notable trend in recent Civivi models has been an expanded creativity with handle materials and colors. Civivi has always been on the forefront when it comes to offering variety in the sub-$100 knife world, but they’ve upped their game recently for sure. The Reveal we’ve been featuring throughout this article is yet another example of this, with its blacked out frame and psychedelic orange/black G-10 inlay. The other version shown has a gray Micarta inlay and a blue anodized thumb stud for an accent piece.
The Reveal will be releasing later this year.
