Packable camping and tailgating equipment is often anything but easy to use. Imagine the classic pop-up canopy: If you’ve ever pinched a finger, busted a hinge, or wrestled through assembly, you know the struggle.

But the minute you use intuitive equipment that delivers simple setups, you realize the true impact of quality materials and calculated designs. Set up a CORE Equipment product, and you’ll understand how dependable gear can offer solutions you didn’t know you needed.

Proudly headquartered in Kansas City, CORE has earned a loyal following with its instant tents, chairs, and other outdoor and camping essentials that fit the glaring niche between low-cost entry options (which often become disposable after a season’s use) and higher-end specialty brands that cater more to the lighter-farther performance needs of backpackers and mountaineers.

To put it simply, CORE has stayed true to the core needs of everyday outdoorsmen. Intent-driven design has expanded their product line to include sleep systems, outdoor furniture, plus lighting and cooling accessories. The priority remains on quality. Trust your gear, the CORE thinking goes, and you can focus on the greater priorities of fun and connection outside.

Here are two of our favorite new entries into the CORE Equipment lineup: an innovative soft cooler and a versatile table, both reliable offerings that can ease your outdoor experience, whether it’s a remote campsite or just a backyard gathering.

An Easier-to-Use Waterproof Cooler

If you’ve gotten stuck fiddling with a zipper each time you reach for a cold drink, you’ll appreciate CORE’s new CLIMAKEEP soft cooler. Its patent-pending MagSnap magnetic lid flips open, and then snaps shut for quick and simple access to the insulated interior.

That’s where welded construction offers a leakproof space that keeps ice up to 2 days (out of direct sunlight). When you’re ready for transport, seal up the exterior waterproof zipper and move on from the campsite, beach scene, or tailgate spot.

Offered in four sizes — holding 12, 18, 24, or 36 standard 12-ounce cans — the CLIMAKEEP includes a large leakproof exterior pocket, two water bottle sleeves, a durable clip-on carry strap, and a built-in bottle opener.

One Table to Rule Them All

When you’re camping, any work surface is better than none. But once you start organizing your kitchen with a customized table, you’ll never go back. When the CORE Team designed the FlexRail4’ Outdoor Prep & Cook Table, it wasn’t trying to reinvent the table, but rather create solutions.

“We set out to fix all the little frustrations that come with using [a table] outdoors,” notes Brandon Sherer, CORE’s Category Leader for FlexRail line, which “treats the table like a system instead of a surface, built for everything that happens around it, not just on top of it.” The system starts with the patent-pending FlexRail that rings the table, allowing you to tailor it to your needs while keeping the tabletop free for cooling prep or meal service.

Clip-on ‘Flexcessories’ nest inside the clamshell-like folding table for transit. When it opens at camp, one side (the prep surface) of the 4-foot table is UV-fade-resistant plastic, and the other (cook surface) is rust-resistant powder-coated steel — ideal for your campstove or portable grill.

Steel legs adjust to uneven ground (with one-handed pinch-free buttons that CORE lovers know and love) with four height settings. And the do-it-all table/system includes a trash bag holder, removable FlexRail clips, a pair of cupholders, a paper towel holder, and an accessory pouch.
