First responders pulled a child from a home in California after a vehicle crashed into the residence.
The Fairfield Police Department identified Matthew Salagubang, 23, as the driver who collided into the two-story home at approximately 6:24 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Salagubang was pulled from the car by members of the Fairfield Fire Department.
The driver’s vehicle was “trapped under a lot of debris and there was clear structural damage to the two-story residence,” police said in a statement.
Photos shared by Fairfield police showed a group of firefighters working together to secure the scene and remove the individuals who were trapped.

The person who made the initial call told dispatchers the car had been “traveling at a high rate of speed before it drove first through a back fence, and then into the back of the residence,” police said.
A child inside the home was also trapped under debris. The child, whose age was not disclosed, was not injured.

PEOPLE reached out to the Fairfield Police Department, but did not immediately receive a response.
Salagubang was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
