  • The pair were working as Amazon Flex drivers when they stole $58,000 worth of packages
  • They turned themselves in at Iowa’s Polk County Jail in October, and they were both charged with one count of first-degree theft, a Class C felony

Two former Amazon delivery drivers pleaded guilty in a $58,000 fraud scheme in which they kept customers’ packages.

Brandon and Madison Kelderman were both charged with one count of first-degree theft, a Class C felony, after they turned themselves in at Iowa’s Polk County Jail in October, local outlet WHO 13 reported, citing the Ankeny Police Department. The pair previously pleaded not guilty and changed their pleas to guilty on Friday, Jan. 30, according to the outlet, citing court records.

The pair were working as Flex delivery drivers for Amazon, and stole nearly $58,000 worth of packages that they were assigned to deliver to customers, per WHO 13, who cited the APD.

The alleged thefts took place from Aug. 22 to Sept. 7, 2025, after Amazon said it was “alerted” to undelivered packages, local outlet KCCI reported at the time.

“We were alerted to this through loss prevention at Amazon. They contacted us and filed a theft report. Essentially, they noticed that several packages had gone missing,” Sgt. Trevor McGraw of APD told the outlet in October. “They provided the suspect information.”

PEOPLE has reached out to APD for comment and the Polk County Clerk’s Office for further information.
