  • Detectives said they obtained video evidence depicting the sexual assault of a 2-year-old child, and Paillet was arrested soon after

Authorities in Texas have arrested a 40-year-old man, identified as a local car influencer, for the alleged sexual assault of a child.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced in a Facebook post that deputies were first called to a home in Porter, Texas, on Jan. 16 as a part of an investigation involving the sexual assault of a child. The MCSO’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) was quickly called to the scene.

SVU detectives then obtained video evidence depicting the sexual assault of a 2-year-old child. Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old Victor L. Corey Paillet III.

The victim’s mother, who opted not to share her name to protect her child’s identity, later spoke to local outlets, including ABC13 and KPRC 2. She shared that she called the police after discovering that Paillet, her boyfriend, had videos of an incident on his cell phone.

“I’ve never went through his phone before, never, but his phone was right there, and I’m like, I just feel something’s not right,” she told KPRC 2, recounting the moment she found the disturbing footage.

“I just keep seeing that video over and over in my head,” she added to ABC 13. “I literally haven’t been able to sleep. I’ve just been crying so much lately.”

The MCSO said that Paillet was arrested and charged with promotion of child pornography and aggravated sexual assault of a child, both of which are first-degree felonies. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and is being held with no bond.

Paillet has a large following on social media platforms, including Instagram, where he goes by “Kandy Red Bread.” He has more than 62,000 followers and makes videos about customizing cars with Houston-specific modifications.

The victim’s mother told ABC13 that she and her child have been left reeling in the aftermath of the assault, and are hoping to move out of the home where the abuse occurred. “We can’t go back to that house where the trauma happened,” she said.

“She has changed since that happened,” the mother added of her toddler. “She’s just been crying so much lately, and we both do need to seek therapy. We’re going to try and get some help.”

“She’s just a baby — why would you do this to a baby? How can you do this to her? How can you do this to me?” she questioned.

KPRC 2 later reported that jail officials placed Paillet on a “modified safety watch,” which is utilized when an inmate attempts to harm themself or is believed to be at risk of doing so.

The sheriff’s office said that based on information obtained during the investigation, detectives believe there may be additional victims. Investigators are now asking anyone with information about Paillet or any related sexual offenses to come forward. Tips can be reported to police, referencing case number 26A017864.

“I just hope everyone comes forward, so we can all get the justice that we deserve,” the child’s mother said.
