The death of Renee Good, the woman who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, has officially been ruled a homicide.
Good was shot by Jonathan Ross, an ICE agent, on Jan. 7 while she was operating her Honda Pilot, which subsequently veered into the street and crashed after she was hit by the gunfire.
According to a Public Data Form from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Good’s manner of death was a homicide caused by “multiple gunshot wounds.”
According to a Minneapolis fire and police department’s incident report obtained by PEOPLE, Good was discovered unresponsive in her car with blood on her face and torso at around 9:42 a.m. local time on the morning of her death.
She suffered two apparent gunshot wounds to her right chest, one apparent gunshot wound on her left forearm and a possible gunshot wound “with protruding tissue” on the left side of her head, the report obtained by PEOPLE added. Blood was also found to be coming out of her left ear.
Antonio Romanucci, an attorney representing Good’s family, issued a statement following the medical examiner’s findings.
“We are aware of the release of basic information by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner acknowledging the death of Renee Good as a Homicide,” Romanucci said in a statement to PEOPLE. “We are still waiting for their full report and hope that they communicate with Renee’s family and share their report before releasing any further information to the public.”
The medical examiner’s office has not yet released the full autopsy reports.

The shooting is the subject of intense scrutiny and controversy. Federal officials claimed Good tried to weaponize her vehicle, but that account that has fiercely disputed by both local officials and Good’s family.
Good was a mother of three who had recently moved to Minneapolis with her partner, Becca.
Romanucci, who previously announced he was representing Good’s family, previously helped secure a $27 million settlement for the family of George Floyd.
