Authorities in South Carolina are investigating the deaths of an elderly married couple as a possible homicide.
The husband and wife were found dead inside their home on Cromer Moore Road on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 15, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement shared on social media.
The victims were identified by the Oconee County Coroner’s Office as Larry Moore, 76, and his wife, Sandra Moore, 75, per the statement.
“At this time, Investigators believe that this incident is isolated and there is no danger to the public, the statement reads. The sheriff’s office said a homicide investigation remains ongoing.
Calvary Church, where the couple were longtime members, posted a tribute on Facebook following the announcement of their deaths.

Authorities are asking anyone in the area with home security cameras who may have captured suspicious activity between the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 13, and the morning of Thursday, Jan. 15, to contact the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at 864-638-4111.
