Prosperity, South Carolina January 16, 2026 — Jacob Grey Firearms has unveiled the Hex Pro™, a refined evolution of the award-winning Hex platform that integrates the hard-earned lessons from the development and manufacturing of the Nox 9™. The result is a handgun purpose-built to push performance, durability, and shootability even further—without sacrificing the clean, intentional design language that has come to define the brand.

Jacob Grey Firearms Unveils the Hex Pro — The Next Evolution of the Award-Winning Hex Lineage

The Hex Pro represents a deliberate step forward. While the original Hex established Jacob Grey Firearms as a serious contender in the premium handgun market, the Hex Pro reflects the maturation of the company’s engineering and manufacturing approach following the successful launch of the Nox 9™. Every major component of the Hex Pro has been rethought, refined, or redesigned to deliver measurable improvements where they matter most.

At its core, the Hex Pro utilizes a fully CNC-machined billet 4140 pre-hardened steel frame, finished with a Black DLC coating to enhance slide-to-frame fit, durability, and long-term wear characteristics—offering a clear performance advantage over aluminum-framed designs. Paired with this is an all-new slide and improved barrel design, manufactured using updated processes developed during the Nox 9™ program.

The Hex Pro features a 4.6-inch slide and barrel, incorporating a chunk ported barrel design engineered to reduce muzzle rise while maintaining a clean, balanced aesthetic. The porting is functional, intentional, and restrained—designed to improve control without compromising reliability or visual appeal.

The grip module is fully CNC machined from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum and hard-coat anodized, consistent with the materials used in both the original Hex and the Nox 9™. However, the Hex Pro introduces a significant ergonomic update: the grip module now incorporates the same ergonomics and overall shape as the Nox 9™, resulting in a uniquely contoured grip that fits a wide range of hand sizes naturally and securely.

Internally, the Hex Pro continues Jacob Grey Firearms’ emphasis on precision-machined, purpose-built components:

  • Fully CNC-machined billet 4140 steel frame, DLC coated black for improved fit and longevity
  • Armored Billet™ ignition components — hammer, sear, disconnector, and safeties — all CNC-machined from tool steel and PVD coated in our signature Carbon Grey
  • 2.5 lb Controlled Radius Trigger™ with over-travel adjustment and enhanced hammer/sear engagement
  • Optic-ready slide with RMR footprint plate positioned rearward of the ejection port for unobstructed operation
  • Exclusive patented ejector design, unique to the Jacob Grey platform

The Hex Pro is not a cosmetic refresh. It is a disciplined refinement—built by a team that has learned what it takes to scale production, meet demand, and deliver premium firearms consistently while continuing to innovate behind the scenes.

The Hex Pro makes its public debut at SHOT Show 2026, where attendees can see the handgun up close and experience the next chapter of the Hex lineage firsthand.
