A Department of Homeland Security officer was seen on video kicking over a candle at a memorial set up for Renee Nicole Good, the woman shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
The video was posted on Bluesky and later reposted on X and shows a uniformed officer with a “Police DHS” patch walking through an outdoor memorial, which has several things written in chalk on the ground, including Good’s name.
It is not clear where the memorial is or if it is even in Minnesota, where the fatal shooting occurred.
In the social media video, the officer kicks over the candle and then walks up to confront a protester standing nearby, whom he tells to “back up.”
The protester asked the officer what he thought the candle was for.
“I don’t give a f—,” the officer responded.
Good was fatally shot as she was driving her car in the proximity of ICE agents on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
The Associated Press reported that she was a 37-year-old mother of three living in Minneapolis.
“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” Good’s mother, Donna Ganger, told The Minnesota Star Tribune. “She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”

Video of the incident showed a masked federal agent fire multiple shots into Good’s SUV, which is then seen continuing up the street before slamming into the back of another car.

DHS claimed that Good “weaponized her vehicle” and that the agent had acted in self-defense.
Local leaders, however, including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, have disputed DHS’ characterization of the incident.
“They are already trying to spin this as an action of self defense, having seen the video for myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bulls—,” Frey said at a press conference. “This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody getting killed.”
