  • “There goes my presents,” the deputy joked after he pulled over St. Nick
  • Mrs. Claus had her husband and the officer pose for a photo following the unexpected run-in

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were caught racing to their next destination.

On Tuesday, Dec. 23, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced that one deputy found Santa speeding around Fulton County, Ohio.

“Santa and Mrs. Claus were spotted flying a little too fast through Fulton County,” Fulton County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release, which was accompanied by the body camera footage.

As the deputy approaches the driver, he notices Santa and laughs, calling out, “Santa!” The deputy briefly explained to Santa that he was driving over the 55 mph speed limit and then asked to see his driver’s license.

Once Santa exited the car to get his license, the deputy joked, “There goes my presents!” As the deputy reviewed his license, Mrs. Claus was seen in the passenger seat laughing along.

“It’s Nick you know,” Mrs. Claus chimed in, before she took a photo of Santa and the deputy together. Before they said their goodbyes, Mrs. Claus then gifted the deputy a candy cane.
