A Texas woman has been charged after allegedly hiding razor blades in loaves of bread at two Walmart stores in Mississippi.
On Tuesday, Dec. 16, Camille Benson, 33, was arrested after the razors were found in a banana nut muffin and multiple loaves of bread from the stores in Biloxi, according to local media outlet WLOX.
Benson has been charged with attempted mayhem and her bond is set at $100,000, per a police press release obtained by PEOPLE.
“On December 15, 2025 the Biloxi Police Department responded to a retail location in the 2600 Block of CT Switzer Sr. Dr. Biloxi, MS, 39531 in response to patrons finding razor blades in loaves of bread that were displayed for sale located inside of the store,” the police said in a statement.
They added, “On the same date Biloxi Police Officers also responded to the 2000 Block of Pass Rd. for the same complaint.”

Lt. Candace Young said customers had reported finding the blades at a Walmart Supercenter and a Walmart Neighborhood Market, per the Associated Press.

Staff at the retail franchise told authorities that they first received a report of a razor blade in a loaf of bread that was bought from the Walmart Supercenter on Dec. 5, the outlet reported.
Another report came on Dec. 8, regarding a razor blade being found in bread that had been purchased at the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
After looking through their stock, employees then found more loaves with razor blades.

Authorities were then able to identify the person of interest after reviewing video surveillance.
In footage, Benson was seen exiting the store while holding a white bag, per WLOX.

“On December 16, 2025 the Biloxi Police Department were given information that the suspect had been seen the 1000 block of Division St,” the police’s press release read. “Officers were able to locate and take into custody 33 year-old female Camille Benson, from the State of Texas. Benson was charged with Attempted Mayhem and Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set bond at $100,000.”
Benson is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
In their release, officials asked anyone who bought bread from Walmart in Biloxi to carefully check the items for sharp objects “and if objects found please contact the Biloxi Police Department.”
In a statement, per the AP, Walmart said, “The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority. We have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at impacted stores in Biloxi. We appreciate law enforcement for their swift action and will continue cooperating with them as they investigate.”
