A 10-month-old girl has been found after she was allegedly kidnapped by a family member and their significant other in North Carolina.
An Amber alert was previously issued for Nalaya Crew, who the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) said was abducted at around 7 p.m. local time in Charlotte on Saturday, Nov. 15.
In an update on Sunday, Nov. 16, authorities said the child was “located unharmed and has been reunited with her mother.”
Crew was allegedly taken by relative Michelle Hemphill, 19, and her boyfriend Timothy Lee Smith Jr., 23, police said. Both suspects have since been taken into custody.
The CMPD said Crew’s family previously believed she was “in danger” with Hemphill, who they said “is currently homeless and has no means to provide for the child.”

Before the arrests, police said Hemphill was last seen getting into a blue minivan, which they believe was driven by Smith, around the 6600 block of Monroe Road in the area.
