Influencer Jack Doherty Charged with Drug Possession and Resisting Arrest in Florida By Toria Sheffield 17

Influencer Jack Doherty has been arrested in Florida on charges related to drug possession.

Doherty, 22, was booked in Miami-Dade County on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 8:48 a.m. local time, per public county records. He was booked on three charges: possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine), possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis and resisting arrest. 

PEOPLE reached out to a representative for Doherty, as well as the Miami Police Department (MPD), for comment on Saturday, Nov. 15, but did not receive an immediate response. 

Doherty posted on his Instagram Stories several hours before his arrest. The posts featured the influencer spending time on a yacht and linked out to livestreams on the app Parti. 

The social media star has more than 28 million combined followers on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. He is best known for his stunt and prank videos.

Doherty made headlines in October 2024 when he crashed his $200,000 McLaren sports car while livestreaming. 

A video of the incident showed Doherty glancing down at his phone while driving as it rained heavily, per the Daily Mail at the time. He suddenly lost control of the car, and it skidded across several lanes before veering into a metal barrier. More than 185,000 people were viewing Doherty’s Kick stream — which has since been deleted — at the time of the crash. 

Doherty’s bond for Saturday’s charges was set at $3,500, and the amount has since been submitted, per public records.
