  • Jack Crawford, 25, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 19 and charged with eight counts of invasion of privacy for allegedly filming women in the fitting rooms of Target
  • The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there are an estimated eight victims, who were allegedly filmed between May and June
  • Crawford was booked into the East County Jail

A man was arrested for allegedly filming women without their consent in the fitting rooms of a Target store in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Jack Crawford, who is a resident in the area, was charged with eight counts of invasion of privacy, authorities announced Friday, Sept. 19. KTLA was first to report the news.

Police first responded on June 5, when Crawford, 25, was recording the victim while she was in a fitting room at the Target located on the 2700 block of Teller Road in Thousand Oaks.

“The victim observed a cell phone camera over the wall and into the fitting room. The victim yelled out and the cell phone was suddenly pulled back over the wall,” The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

CCTV footage from the store confirmed Crawford as the individual allegedly filming the women in the fitting rooms. Sexual Assault Unit Detectives then obtained a search warrant for Crawford’s cell phone, which was seized and analyzed.

Crawford reportedly filmed women in the store on May 12, June 2, and June 5. The VCSO confirmed there are eight total unknown female victims at this time.

Crawford was charged with eight counts of invasion of privacy and booked into the East County Jail.
