Matthew Perry’s mother, Suzanne Morrison, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, made their presence known as the fifth and final person charged in their son’s overdose death, pleaded guilty.

After agreeing to a plea deal in August, Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the “Ketamine Queen” by federal prosecutors, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Sept. 3, to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury, the Associated Press reported.

Suzanne and Keith were present at the court hearing in Los Angeles, marking the first time they attended court proceedings since the announcement of the indictments one year ago, according to the outlet.

Matthew died on Oct. 28, 2023, at 54 years old, after an accidental drug overdose. He was found floating face down in his jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home that night.

An autopsy report previously obtained by PEOPLE revealed that his cause of death was due to the acute effects of ketamine. Drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects, a medication used to treat opioid use disorder, were also listed as contributing factors.

After Perry’s death, his family spoke out in a statement to PEOPLE.
