Suspect's Arrest Months After Macklemore's Home Robbed with 3 Kids Inside Leads to Pawn Shop Bust By Samira Asma-Sadeque

Authorities in Washington State have arrested a person they believe is connected to the June burglary of Macklemore’s home.

Patrick Maisonet, a 29-year-old pawn shop owner, was arrested last month in Renton, Wash., Seattle police said, according to KOMO News, FOX 13 Seattle and NBC.

Maisonet was booked into custody on a robbery charge in connection with a seemingly unrelated incident in November 2024, KIRO 7 and FOX 13 Seattle reported, citing court documents.

He was recently named a suspect by authorities in connection with the burglary at the singer’s home in June 2025, but has not been charged in connection with that crime, per the outlets.

Macklemore’s three children — a 10-year-old, 7-year-old and 3-and-half-month-old — were home at the time of the alleged burglary, according to a Seattle Police Department report previously obtained by PEOPLE.

Two suspects allegedly broke into the home, according to the children’s nanny who called police a little before 1 a.m. on June 7, and attacked the woman with bear-spray, the report said.

The nanny managed to escape and call authorities. She reportedly told police she believed the crime may have been politically motivated.

The “Thrift Shop” singer and Grammy winner has been vocal about his support for Palestine both on his social media and on stage at his concerts, and had written a month prior to the burglary that he believes “standing up against [a genocide] shouldn’t have to be brave.”

Photos of recovered items following Maisonet’s pawn shop raid show a custom Sounders MLS Cup ring and Seahawks ring, believed to be owned by Macklemore, per KOMO News.

Seattle police further allege Maisonet is also connected to home invasion robberies of several Seattle-area athletes, KOMO News reported, citing unspecified law enforcement sources.

Maisonet had an active arrest warrant against him for allegedly cutting off his ankle monitor earlier this year while he was serving home detention in connection with a separate robbery in 2023, KOMO News reported.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf.
