NEED TO KNOW

  • Capricorn Clark worked for Diddy from 2004 to 2018
  • Clark was previously mentioned during the testimony of rapper Kid Cudi last week
  • Diddy’s sex trafficking trial entered its third week on Tuesday

A former employee of Sean “Diddy” Combs was allegedly forced to take lie detector tests for days — and was issued a chilling threat if she failed, she testified in court.

Capricorn Clark, who worked for Combs in two stints from 2004 to 2018, told a Manhattan jury that she was made to take lie detector tests over five days after three pieces of Combs’ jewelry went missing.

The man administering the test told Clark he would throw her into New York’s East River if she failed the test, Clark told the jury on Tuesday, May 27, as Combs’ trial entered its third week.

She received the same threat right after she was initially brought to a building she did not recognize for the test by Combs’ bodyguard, “Uncle Paulie” Offord, she said. The building was an abandoned skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan.

She was made to take the tests after three pieces of jewelry she carried for Combs — who had allegedly been loaned the items by someone named “Jacob the Jeweler” — went missing, Clark said in court, adding that she was not aware until much later that they had gone missing.

After the first test was inconclusive, she was brought home and taken back to the building the following day, and a member of Combs’ security told her she would not be free until she was proven innocent, she said.

Clark took the stand days after she was mentioned in the testimony of rapper Kid Cudi who said in a 2011 incident, Clark tipped him off that Combs and an associate were inside his home.

The rapper, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, testified that Clark had told him she was waiting outside his house and “seemed very scared.”

Over the last two weeks, jurors have heard from several witnesses including law enforcement officials, Combs’ employees and his personal associates.

He is on trial for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution; he has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
