Fraudster-Turned-Life Coach Accused of Trying to Get Undercover Cop to Rape a Child and a Dog

A Tennessee life coach who was once convicted of fraud is set to go on trial after he was charged with the rape of a child.

Gordon Grigg, 61, was indicted on several sex crime charges in June 2024, authorities in Franklin, Tenn., said. Court records indicate that Grigg is charged with aggravated rape of a child, identity theft and criminal offenses against animals, among several other counts.

“Grigg promoted himself as a life coach in order to contact victims. It is possible there are additional victims,” authorities allege.

Prior to the rape charges, Grigg served time in federal prison after pleading guilty to multiple fraud charges in 2009. Federal prison records indicate that he was released in 2014.

At the time, the SEC said in a complaint that Grigg, who said he was a financial planner and investment advisor, “defrauded at least 27 clients out of approximately $6.5 million by obtaining such funds from them and claiming to have invested them in securities that do not exist.”

The Tennessean and WTVF, citing an indictment, reported that Grigg is now accused of stealing the identities of two clients with the intention of committing sex crimes.

The paper reported that authorities allege that Grigg ordered two other adults to sexually penetrate children and then allegedly told them to have sexual activity with a dog.

The reported indictment alleges that one of the people was an undercover agent.

Grigg’s trial is scheduled for October, The Tennessean reported.
