An actor who once appeared on longtime NBC drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit could spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of the 2021 murder of a New York City man.

After a two-week trial, Isaiah Stokes, 45, was found guilty of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the shooting death of 37-year-old Tyrone Jones, according to a March 10 press release from the Queens District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Stokes had sought revenge against Jones since October 2020 when the victim kicked him out of his birthday party during an altercation at a Queens club.

On Jan. 29, 2021, Stokes placed a GPS tracking device underneath Jones’ vehicle and used it to track the victim down the following week, per the release.

On the afternoon of Feb. 7, 2021, Stokes got out of a parked SUV and walked around the area for about 15 minutes before pulling out a gun and firing 11 times at Jones’ car.

Jones, who was waiting for a friend inside the car, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest, prosecutors said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stokes then drove the car back to his apartment in Rego Park, Queens, later that afternoon and returned it to a rental location in Hackensack, N.J., per the release.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz called the fatal shooting a “calculated murder” and said Stokes was “intent on revenge.”

“The defendant, a part-time actor, stewed for months after being thrown out of a birthday party for his own inappropriate behavior,” Katz said.

Stokes has been a TV actor since the mid-2000s, appearing in a 2009 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, as well as in episodes of Boardwalk Empire, Power, Blue Bloods, and The Mysteries of Laura.

He also records and performs music under the name I$AIAH, according to his IMDB page.

Stokes is scheduled to be sentenced on March 21 and faces up to 25 years to life in prison, prosecutors said.
