Boker has given just about every knife format a shot at least once; after all, they put out more new models each year than some companies release in five. But you don’t see a ton of choppers from the company, which makes the new, Dave Wenger-designed Northwood Bowie particularly interesting.

The Northwood Bowie does not look like your average bowie knife – that much is clear at a glance. But the unusual elements go deeper than the overall profile. The 10.71-inch blade is divided in two different sections, ground differently for different applications. The outer portion has a more acute edge bevel, making it the region of choice for chopping and general cutting.’

Boker really does have one of everything.  I wonder if Boker is German for TOPS?
