Civivi will be rolling out the Perfrico fixed blade alongside the two folders we covered earlier this month, the Elementum Slipjoint and the Clingman. The Perfrico is a full on tactical fixed blade with a big dagger vibe.

It’s interesting to see Civivi’s team working in this particular design space. The company is no complete stranger to the format, but many of their most pointedly tactical designs come from outside collaborators like Bob Terzuola. Clearly, however, they’ve got the chops for this kind of work too, and have turned out what may be their most “tactical” in-house fixed blade yet. We put quotation marks around the term because it means many different things to many different people; but it’s hard to argue the Perfrico fits into any other category, no matter how you define it.

The Perfrico’s 4.49-inch blade follows in a long line of dagger-style fighting knives, with a symmetrical profile – however, unlike some of those historical precedents, the Perfrico has only one live edge, not two – a choice that makes it legal to own and use in more places around the world. We’ve got 14C28N for the blade steel again, one of Civivi’s favorite stainless choices alongside Nitro-V. Ultimate edge retention may not be an absolute necessity on a fighting knife, but this stainless steel’s performance is rock-solid across the board and won’t disappoint no matter the application.

Nothing too surprising on the handle front in terms of the bare profile, but the detailing across the G-10 scales drives home the tactical elements with a sort of military inflection, evoking the frag pattern style texturing on both its faux bolster and faux pommel elements. The sheath is the expected pancake-style Kydex number and, as is often to case with Civivi fixie releases, the Perfrico comes with a T-Clip, designed by Bob Terzuola.

The Perfrico is on the release docket alongside the aforementioned Elementum Slipjoint and Clingman folders, which means you can expect it by the end of the month.
