New body camera footage released by police is shedding some light in the moments leading up to the arrest of Marcus Jordan, who was charged with cocaine possession, driving under intoxication and resisting arrest on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The footage, released by Maitland Police Department and reshared by WFAA-TV, showed officers arriving to find the 34-year-old reality TV star at the wheel of a blue sports car, which was stuck on the side of a train track.

An officer could be seen telling Jordan to get out of the vehicle since “a train was coming by,” to which he responded, “I know, that’s why I’m trying to get the f— out of here.” The officer could be seen telling the former college basketball star that his car was “buried” and they were “literally stuck.”

Once out of the car, the officers then asked Jordan a series of questions about how he got stuck there in the first place. He told them he “got discombobulated” and took a wrong turn, ending up on the tracks.

At one point, Jordan could be heard referencing his famous NBA father, 61, to one of the officers, saying, “I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. Okay?”

He later added, “The last thing I wanted to do is put my car on the tracks, obviously, it’s a $330,000 car. Why would I want to be on the tracks?”

In the footage, officers then asked him whether he had drunk alcohol or used any substances prior to getting behind the wheel. He admitted to police that he had “a little bit” to drink that night but it was “under the legal limit.”

The body cam footage then showed Jordan attempting a field sobriety test and one officer asking him on a “scale of 0-10” with 0 being “sober” what number he was on, and he responded “3,” which prompted officers to begin handcuffing him.

When an officer said he believed Jordan had “too much to drink tonight,” the reality star responded, “I disagree with that, sir, but whatever you say … I hear you, but I disagree.”

Additional footage showed Jordan arguing with officers after he was handcuffed and asked to get inside a police car. He repeatedly told officers that he was “not drunk,” and said his “opinion was different” from the cops’ as they asked him to get into the police car.

According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, officers reported that they noticed Jordan’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” when they spoke to him at the scene, adding that he was “confused where he was located.”

An officer in the report also said that Jordan insisted his blood alcohol content level was under the legal .08. Still, he was unable to complete any of the three field sobriety tests at the scene. The officer also noted that an “odor of an alcoholic beverage was getting stronger as he spoke,” according to the report, and Marcus “would get agitated and irritated quickly” when interacting with police.

Once officers were able to arrest the former college basketball player, they found a white substance in a small plastic bag in his pocket. The substance tested positive for cocaine, according to the documents.

Jordan was set on a $4,000 bond for his release.
